Bonnie Jeanne Knapp

Bonnie Jeanne Knapp, daughter of Earl and Eleanor Harmon, sadly passed away on March 19, 2024 at the age of 70 after her courageous six year battle with cancer.

Bonnie was born in Jerome, Idaho, on April 19, 1953. She spent her early years in Idaho with very humble beginnings as the 3rd born of seven children.

She moved to Camarillo, California in 1986 as a wife and mother of three with one on the way. She dedicated her life to her four children from her former husband Dave Gaisford. While raising her children as a single mom she went on to graduate law school and pass the bar in 1995. She worked for nearly three decades as a lawyer and found her passion in providing her clients with their Living Will & Family Trusts until she finally retired just last year.

In 2004 Bonnie met “the great love of her life”, George Mason Knapp. After a short 7 years of marriage Bonnie was left a widow. While grieving she purchased a home in Camarillo that needed to be rebuilt from essentially the ground up. Seeing her broken self in this home she poured every ounce of love she had into building it and herself back up again. This would be the project that breathed new life into her and became a fresh beginning for the next chapter in her journey.

Bonnie was a woman of tremendous faith and served life long as a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. For many years she held a weekly volunteer position along side some of her best friends in the Los Angeles Temple.

Bonnie is loved by many and is survived by her Mother, Eleanor Harmon, her 4 children, David (Raquel) Gaisford, Katie (Rob) Booth, Cameron Gaisford (Amanda Angle), Ashley (Joe) Salisbury and 9 Grandchildren. She is also survived by 6 Siblings, Barbara (Frank) Youngstrom, Marge (Joe) Litster, Maxine (Dallan) Clarke, Dave (Karen) Harmon, Bob (Barbara) Harmon, Connie (Jeff) Dalling.

A viewing will be from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Stake Center, 1201 Paseo Camarillo, Camarillo. Burial will follow the funeral at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park.
